A survey for the express purpose of locating the corners and boundary lines of a given parcel of land. Actual physical extent of property ownership on the ground is usually marked by iron rods, rebars, concrete monuments in the ground, rocks with chisel marks, tacks in trees, etc…<\/p>\n

A survey of a lot to verify the straight line distance across the lake shoreline from pin to pin. Based on the distance, Georgia Power will then grant the land owner a certain type of dock permit. A combination of boundary and topographic surveys for preparation of a site plan to be used for designing improvements or developments. When construction is finished the Building Departments will require an as-built survey to make sure that everything that was shown on the construction site plan is on the ground now.<\/p>\n

An easement is defined as \u201ca non\u2014possessive interest held by one person or entity in the land of another whereby the first person is accorded partial use of such land for a specific purpose. An easement restricts but does not abridge the right of the fee owner to the use and enjoyment of their land.\u201d.<\/p>\n
